Earthship - Iron Chest (2012)

Artist: Earthship
Country: Germany
Album: Iron Chest
Year: 2012
Genre: Sludge Metal/Stoner Metal

I've had this album since it first came out, but it got lost in my large collection never to be heard until i found it this weekend.  And man, I sure am happy I found this and decided to give it a try.  This is some of the grooviest, heaviest, stoner metal I've heard in a while.  They have three albums in total, and I'm gonna be picking up the other two very very soon.  Maybe I'm late to the party and everyone already knows this band rules, but if not, check them out ASAP!!

Altars Of Grief - This Shameful Burden (2014)

Artist: Altars Of Grief
Country: Canada
Album: This Shameful Burden
Year: 2015
Genre: Blackened Death Metal/Doom Metal

If you want to add a little gloom to your Memorial Day weekend, check out Altars Of Grief.  This record was released last year, but I didn't catch wind of it until now.  It's heavy, drawn out, and dark.  I love when metal is blackened just on top and doesn't completely drench it, allowing the other influences to show.  It's not ground breaking, but it is a good listen for a rainy day.

Fleshless - Devoured Beyond Recognition (2015)

Artist: Fleshless
Country: Czech Republic
Album: Devoured Beyond Recognition
Year: 2015
Genre: Death Metal

It's been a long time since I've posted on here, but I'm not dead.  Anyways this is the new Fleshless record that just came out a few days ago.  I enjoyed their last record, "Slaves Of The God Machine" and was happy to see this pop up on my new album feed.  I'm about half-way through it, and it's pretty sick so far.  Pick it up, check it out, and enjoy!

Basket Case (1982)

This is a classic fun B-movie.  I've been watching a bunch of these 80s gorefest films lately.  Street Trash is by far my all-time favoirite, but this one's pretty good too.  Enjoy!

Protect Your Privacy Online!

Getting a VPN is a necessity in today's online world.  The government and other people are trying to look at and monitor what you are doing online, and a VPN prevents anyone from seeing what you are doing. is an excellent choice and one that I personally use.  There are free VPN services, but they will keep logs of what you do, and you will still be vulnerable if someone wants to get to them. is located in Malaysia and are not required to keep any logs.  Basically no one can see what you are doing online, not even them.  They offer blazing fast connections with multiple different types of VPNs.  They have tons of servers too, so you can choose where you want to be connected.  The support staff is great too, and can help you with any questions you have.  There is also a limited free version so that you can try it out before you invest in it, but you will be happy with their service.  Take a minute to check out the video and sign up so you can protect your privacy.  I HIGHly recommend this with the current state of the internet.

Blacklisted - When People Grow, People Go (2015)

Artist: Blacklisted
Country: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Album: When People Grow, People Go
Year: 2015
Genre: Hardcore/Experimental

Their 4th full length "When People Grow, People Go" is set to be released February 10, 2015.  The pre-orders are not up yet, but they have released a track called "Deeper Kind."  I've enjoyed everything this band has released so far, just such a great hardcore act.  Their last album "No One Deserves To Be Here More Than Me" took a more experimental approach, drifting from their short fast songs into more of an atmosphere of interludes.  "When People Grow.." is supposed to be a cross between their old fury and "No One Deserves..."  Check it out and pre-order when it becomes available.

The Banner - Greying (2014)

Artist: The Banner
Country: Bloomfield, New Jersey
Album: Greying
Year: 2014
Genre: Hardcore

I had never listened to this band before, but man this is some dark ass hardcore.  They used to have more of a misfits punky feel from what i've read, but they should definitely stick with the direction they're taking.  The brutal, self-loathing, raw songs with the gloomy interludes really is a beautiful mix on this album.  This is how hardcore should be, as real as life itself.  There is no happiness on this record, but it has all the morbid glory you could ask for.

The Smith Street Band - Throw Me In The River (2014)

Artist: The Smith Street Band
Country: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
Album: Throw Me In The River
Year: 2014
Genre: Folk Punk

I've been following this band for a few years now, and nearly everything they release is gold.  "Throw Me In The River" is no exception, and will be a classic.  Nothing but raw, true, feel good music.  This might be their best release to date but hard to say because their discography is so strong.  Great to play around the campfire(like the album cover implies), or just grab a few brews and have a merry listen.
