German brutal death metal band, Defeated Sanity, released their fourth full length album at the start of this year. I love all types of metal, but brutal death is one of my least favorite genres. It generally sounds extremely repetitive, or the band just sucks in general. However, there are always exceptions and bands that just murder the genre they stick too. Defeated Sanity is this exception in the brutal death metal genre. This is probably due to the fact that these are talented musicians. They can play their instruments and can play them well, showing some of the most promising talent in the genre. They have gone through line-up changes, but that has done little to stop the heavy hitting releases Defeated Sanity keeps unleashing.
